Please note: There will be no “Connections” event this month!
No Connections gathering this month with our Community Health Nurse, Tracy, but in-stead we will host an event we haven’t done in a while: A Mother-Daughter Tea! Think tablecloths and china and dainties and tea or other fancy drinks! The twist is: not just mother-daughter combos are allowed – not everyone has a daughter or granddaughter or has one nearby. So! Borrow your neighbor’s or bring a friend! All ages of women and girls are welcome. We will gather at 2 pm the day before Mother’ Day – Saturday, May 9th. Our speaker will be Karen Thompson, the mother of John Thompson, who some of you will remember lost both his arms in a farming accident some years ago and is an inspirational figure, himself. She will talk about what it was like as a mother to experience that, and how her faith is what got her through it. We will wrap up our lovely time together by 4 pm. Come join us! Dress up if you like, but that is not at all necessary!

We are excited to announce a new program for all members of LCC but especially those that are feeling the effects of cabin fever and loneliness. CONNECTIONS is a time where Christians can come together and share their experiences and talents with others. A time to get out and connect with other individuals and hopefully take back something positive, exciting and new when you leave.

We will meet on the first Tuesday of the month from 2-4 pm at the church. We will have coffee, goodies, and a different activity or speaker each month for those that want to participate. If not, you are welcome to just come and visit.

A different program will be chosen every month. If you would like to join us but do not have a ride, please contact Connie, Lisa or Tracy Geiermann through the church and we will compile a list. If you are an individual that would be available to pick someone else up, please also call us and we will be happy to make that CONNECTION. We hope that you will be excited about this new opportunity.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. God’s love to you all!
