Carrie’s Kids is an organization that helps homeless kids in our community succeed. For some years we have collected clothing items that are always desired, particularly boys’ jeans (or track pants) and shirts/sweatshirts. Please bring these items by Dec. 15, if possible, for Christmas gifts (though anytime til the end of the year is fine, too.) No need to wrap them. Place under the tree nearest the front door and we will deliver them to Carrie’s Kids. Thanks for making Christmas better for these children!

Feeding Ministries

As you know, many families are struggling due to circumstances beyond their control – rising prices, government shutdown, etc. We will continue to collect and distribute warm clothing: coats, scarves, gloves, hats etc. throughout the winter. Your council designated some of your offerings on an emergency basis to help feed people in November – thank you. As you contemplate your giving this Christmas, we encourage you to consider supporting those who need our help to make it through, however you can. Here are some of our favorite feeding ministries – look them up online or call the office or Pastor Lisa if you’d like more information. Note: **you can give to LCC and memo your check to one of these, and it will be recorded in your church giving and sent on. Or send directly to one of these organizations.**

ELCA World Hunger – does this sound far away? Yes, it supports people throughout the world – but also throughout the USA, including food pantries in our own communities. Go to www.elca.org and find out more info and give to ELCA World Hunger, or the Good Gifts program we all like so much!!
