One of our favorite Sundays of the year! If you are a baker, sign up on the poster in the narthex to bring a couple dozen (or as many as you like!) of your Christmas specialties. On Dec. 14th after worship, we will have all the cookies laid out in the multipurpose room, next to the kitchen. You will receive a container and can then choose your goodies. Cost is a donation, with a suggested price of minimum $5 per dozen. All proceeds will benefit Heaven’s Helpers Soup Café. You can help an important feeding ministry in our community and enjoy holiday treats as well. We all get to taste different Christmas cookies, without baking them all ourselves! Win- win! Any leftovers will be plated up to be taken to some of our members who can’t make it to church.
Please note: we do have a Thrivent grant to offset some of the expenses involved. There are ingredients in the church kitchen – butter in the fridge, others on the counter. Let us know if you need something that’s not there; there’s still a little money left from the grant! Set up for the Cookie Walk will be on Saturday, Dec. 13th at 3 pm. Bring your cookies on Saturday if possible, and please come if you can help set out and mark what the cookies are, set up the containers, and put all in readiness so all can enjoy right after worship on the 14th!
