Rally Sunday is also “God’s Work, Our Hands” day, and we like to choose a project to serve others. This year we will join forces with several other churches to support the efforts of Bridges of Hope and Ministry on the Margins to expand their “Fresh Start Kits” for those reentering society from incarceration. Trinity Lutheran is spearheading this new project, which will expand the need for these backpacks to about 40 each month. You can help by providing items on the list or a backpack (please purchase the one they request – QR code is in this newsletter). If you are a Thrivent member, you can also apply for an Action Team grant to accomplish even more. This need will be ongoing, so you can bring items even beyond September, and we will get them to Trinity for assembly. It takes a village. Thank you for your assistance!
